Trainee Money Advice Caseworker

Location: Newark & Sherwood : 30 hours per week

Type of contract: Fixed term contract end date: 31st March 2021 (renewal subject to funding)

Training Salary: £18,065 per annum pro-rata (plus 6% pension contribution) – rising to £22,462 on completion of training

Citizens Advice Sherwood & Newark  is a busy district wide advice service based over 2 offices  in Newark & Ollerton,.  We are looking to recruit a trainee money advice caseworker to join our existing money advice team and  to assist in delivering money advice services to people across the Newark & Sherwood District. The successful candidate will be trained to provide an in-depth casework service to the organisation’s clients, working face to face as well as by telephone. You will therefore need a good working knowledge of money and debt advice, the ability to prioritise cases efficiently and the ability to work as part of a team. Ideally, you will have a background working with clients in a financial setting; and be willing to work towards becoming a qualified Debt Relief Order Intermediary. The successful candidate will be given comprehensive training and support to enable them to achieve the required competences within 6-12 months. You could be located in either office and travel will be expected between offices to provide cover.
