Once again mental health is in the news with Prime Minister May calling for mental health to be a priority. We at Citizens Advice Broxtowe know how important it is to support people experiencing problems with mental health and the devastation it can cause .

Eastwood Mental Health Hub

That is why we have been working in partnership with Nottinghamshire Mind to set up the Eastwood Wellbeing Hub, in partnership with both Mind and Eastwood Volunteer Bureau. We have been able pilot the project thanks to Broxtowe Borough Council who have provided funding to test this new way of working.

What is on offer?

Mind Mental Health Caseworker.

There will be regular support meetings, coffee mornings , mindfulness events,  one to one sessions,  arts & crafts and more. The events are aimed at helping participants reach their goals and increase  confidence.

Early Intervention Advice Worker.

Participants will be allocated a advocacy worker who will stay in contact to provide help with the problems life throws at them. Helping them avoid the types of crisis that can add to a persons stress and anxiety. Not having help with problems like debt, housing problems, welfare benefits and consumer problems can all have an impact on someone’s mental wellbeing. We want to make sure that people are not experiencing such problems alone.

We are located at the Eastwood Volunteer Bureau, Wellington Place, Eastwood, Nottingham,  NG16 3GB.

Opening time: 9am – 3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
