The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme comes to an end on 31st October and will be replaced by the new Job Support Scheme. We know that, as the pandemic continues to make and economic impact. Large scale redundancies are anticipated. The BBC reported on 6th October that nearly 500,000 redundancies are planned based on figures released from the Insolvency Service.

Our message is simple, get help as soon as your job or income is likely to be affected by changes to the Furlough scheme or you are at risk of redundancy or you are struggling financially. In partnership with Broxtowe Borough Council we’re sending out some key messages to local residents.

Help is also on hand to help businesses. Even in a recession finding staff with the right skills and experience to meet the needs of your business can be difficult. If your company is viable were it not for the pandemic you might be able to get help from the new Job Support Scheme and Broxtowe Borough Council’s Business Support Hub may be able to direct you to other forms of assistance.
