If you are on UC and working and your employer is paying you earlier before Christmas, it may affect your UC entitlement if the early payment means you are paid twice in the same assessment period.
HMRC has sent a memo to employers telling them to put down on their report that the payday is the normal payday, e.g. if you are normally paid on 28th but in December you are paid on 20th the employer should report you were paid on 28th.
If you have concerns about this we suggest you speak to your employer to make them aware that you could be affected by early Christmas payments.
